I made this portable shrine to take with me while traveling. It also includes a place to keep my ankh necklace at night.
Hail Set, Lord of desert and mountain, He who roams.
A traveler salutes Thee, He who walks the far roads.
Materials: Hard-sided wallet, watercolor and acrylic on paper, felt, beads.
In Kemetic symbolism, 7 is the number of perfection and of magical power.
Crochet patterns with an odd number of points are relatively rare; most have 6 or 8. This is the only 7-point pattern I have come across.
Material: bamboo viscose thread
Nothing to represent something, something to represent nothing.

It is Sokar who watches over my art and my job, as He is the god of temple craftspeople and tomb builders (I work in life insurance; it makes sense). This mini-shrine sits on my studio desk, and the smaller figure is on top of my monitor at work.
Materials: salt dough, watercolor, acrylic paint. (For stand: wood, sandpaper, glue, paint, beads)
Relief printing is called the art of the white line. We create by taking away.

Neb.y Set is the main deity I honor, and this is my shrine image of Him.
“Hail to Thee at the hour of dawn,
Lord of Outsiders, Sheltering Storm!
Hail to Thee at the fading of stars,
He Who casts apep back!”
Media: Watercolor, ink, acrylic paint.
Thus the sun rises on another Kemetic blog.
This is primarily an art blog. There are many others, more articulate than me, who write about Kemeticism and about spirituality in general; you can see some of them in my blogroll. Me? I make things.
